Colorado Springs Home Show

March 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Did you visit the Colorado Spring Home Show at the Phil Long Expo Center this weekend? What did you think? My two cents – it was a nice show, a way to spend a very snowy and windy afternoon – but overall – it was the same old, same old….most of what was displayed had been displayed for the last several years. Nothing majorly new and exciting – with a couple of exceptions.

One of them: “Quinn Essentials – The Key to finishing your home”, represented during the home show by Wendy Quinn, the Owner. Say you can’t get excited about hardware? Well, you’d have to see their offerings. It’s hardware alright, but it’s not your run of the mill type of items. If you missed them during the home show, check out their website

What was your favorite display at the show?

Full of ….. Hot Air?

August 27, 2007 · Leave a Comment

It’s that time of the year again! From September 1st to the 3rd,  Balloons of all colors and shapes will dot the sky above Colorado Springs! It’s a free event, with Music, Food and of course, Balloons! If you’re there early morning – you can watch them set up and go up. If late afternoon, early evening is more your style, weather permitting, you can watch the Balloon Glow! Either is great!

My personal preference – early morning. Not because I’m a “Morning Person” – but it is an amazing sight to see all the balloons go up! It’s a colorful way to officially end summer!

But never fear, that’s not the end of fun and games,  there’s “Bunches more” to do in Colorado. Check out the website of the Colorado Welcome Center, where you can search Events by time, location and type, request a free Welcome Guide, browse photo galleries, find info on lodging, etc., etc., ………. Have fun!
